Mining in Ceredigion Wednesday 30th September
10am-4pm The Metal Mines Programme is funded by Welsh Government and is being jointly delivered by Natural Resources Wales and the Mining Remediation Authority to protect and improve the water environment for the benefit of people and wildlife by achieving cleaner rivers and contribute to the sustainable managements.
Strata Florida is working with the Metal Mines Programme to inform and educate visitors and the community about the nearby Abbey Consols Mine. To this end, we run annual Mining in Ceredigion days, where experts in the field give talks on the history and impact of the industry on the local landscape, culminating with a guided walk up to the mine itself. |
